We are a Hero school. It is very important that you connect with us using the Hero app.
Hero allows schools to create an online environment that enables kaiako|teachers, ākonga|learners, and whānau to view and share content anytime, anywhere, on any device. The software is secure, easy to use, and brings together all school-related information in one place.
With Hero, you can:
Read and comment on posts relating to your tamaiti|child’s learning
View information on your tamaiti|child’s progress and goals
Read and comment on school notices sent to the class or groups your tamaiti|child is part of
Respond to school notices such as surveys and trip permission requests
View school term dates
View a school calendar of events
Notify the school if your tamaiti|child is absent or late
Book your school conferences
Complete enrolments online
Navigate to other school-related web pages
Customise your account by adding a profile image
Select how you wish to receive notifications
Learning posts, combined with curriculum information and goal setting, will form an ongoing online report. Over time, you will have access to written posts, images, videos, work samples, and helpful resources — all in one place.
As we transition to Hero, it will replace our school’s use of Skool Loop (for notices, conference bookings, and absence notifications) and Class Dojo (for sharing learning highlights and communication between kaiako and whānau). Hero will now be our main platform for all school communication, learning updates, and online enrolments.
Please note that each parent and caregiver must have their own unique email address to register and log in to Hero. This ensures that all whānau members can securely access and receive updates about their tamaiti|child’s learning.
Over the coming year (2026), kaimahi|staff will begin posting rich content to Hero, and we look forward to sharing this with you — keeping you connected and involved in your tamaiti|child’s learning journey. While we learn to use Hero effectively throughout 2026, we will appreciate your patience and understanding.
