Road Patrol is a responsibility that many ākonga take on to protect the ākonga who walk to and from school. Road Patrol gives students the opportunity to learn more about Safety on the Road, whether it be travelling by car, bike, scooter or walking. It also shows the parents how responsible Papakura Normal School students are.
Road Patrol monitors come under the guidance of Mrs. Quisel who, along with the Papakura Police Education Officer, train ākonga in how to operate the Road Patrol. This is a very responsible job and requires commitment, patience and punctuality.
