Orienteering
Papakura Normal School prides itself with the
development of orienteering throughout the school. 
Students begin orienteering in Year One learning to use symbols on a treasure map. Each year skills are developed further culminating in a grueling cross country orienteering course on a remote farm at Port Waikato. Students also participate in the Counties Orienteering competition with our students regularly being recognised at Counties and Auckland levels.
